It's been crazy busy with my baby, and I have been away from my pens and brushes for awhile. In the meantime though, some people purchased my artwork on Society6! I am so excited about it, and I would like to thank those people for making my day:-)

Dreaming in Lotus

I made this with the lotus I drew before.  I've been meaning to play around with the image, and it took me forever to actually start it.  Also I started putting my work on Society6.com where you can purchase prints and other products of my art.

I could catch the last minute of this year's cherry blossom spectacular!  It was very very precious to be able to spend such beautiful day with my loving family.

I had some days when my son was extra sleepy. That's when I grab my brushes and have some fun experimenting with colors.

It's kind of funny thing to say, but I remembered that I like heart shape. I like the curves.  I used to draw many hearts when I was a kid. So I draw many of them and thought about my childhood.

This heart shaped bubble wrap started all this.

I've been missing Pacific Ocean since last summer. Now that I live on the other end of it, I don't really have an easy access to the coast.  Hopefully I'll be able to visit beach this summer.

This is one of my embroidery works I brought with me from California.  I didn't like this linen fabric, so I didn't even frame it.  It seems like my son likes it. He wanted to chew on it so much.  

I am happy to see my son finally plays with the cubes I made for him.  They are for him to chew on, barf on, or whatever he wants to do.  It'll probably be awhile for me to be able to take such long hours to work on embroidery again, but I'd love to make something for him again. Maybe books..??

Started Friday with Bill Evans

This last several days had been wet, cold and dark.
We finally have sunshine today!
Opened up the windows, let fresh air in, and I felt like listening to Bill Evans.
It'll be a nice weekend. 

Oh, my baby.

 

I try to draw as much as possible while my 5 month-old son takes a nap.  This one is for my son, Ren.  It means 'lotus' in Japanese.  Yes, my life is all about him right now.  Ren Ren Ren Ren!:-)

I am thinking about adding more to it digitally later. Hmm..what can I do?
